Fasting Long Term Advice

Adapting to a lifestyle of fasting requires a flexible plan. The most important part is how you recover once the fast is done. After nutrition is settled, the body needs sufficient time to adjust from the autophagy. I think the easiest way to build new personal records is taking at least 1 week off before starting a new dry fast. Another technique to include in your life I find that OMAD makes it easier for the psychological switch. Final piece of advice is a 24 or 48 hour dry fast every week combined with OMAD makes breaking records over 72 hours very easy.

Happy fasting everybody!

Answer

The idea of breaking records is too yang. It will edge your towards your autonomic nervous system becoming “fight and flight” sympathetic nervous system dominant. Take a deep breath and drop that idea. Dry fasting is GREAT, but do it with a more relaxed attitude.

Answer

I second this. Fasting is a full lifestyle to me and I can’t imagine going to “normal” eating again. I do 4-5 days 3 times a month then do IF when I’m not doing any extended dryfast. I feel so much better
