Fasting with chronic migraines

I am interested in beginning a fasting routine, but I do suffer from chronic migraines and that has been delaying my start for a while. Can anyone speak to what they do to negate triggering migraines while fasting?

I also have chronic migraines. The#1 thing that helps during a fast is to sleep more, never get dehydrated and take electrolytes. There are times I can’t stop one from happening, I found it’s more likely to happen around the adrenaline spike crashes. If it becomes hard for me to sleep, that can lead into a migraine trigger.

I end up sleeping a lot.

It’s tricky but doable. Must maintain hydration and electrolytes and if you’re a caffeine drinker - keep going during your fast with black tea or coffee, because if you all of a sudden cut it out you’ll be in for a bad time! Also consider a game plan if you’re having a flare up, ie. I will stop my fast if I….. (get an aura, have to take meds that need to be taken with food etc).
