[HELP] I do 22-23 hour fasts and OMAD, and seems like I’m not losing at all. What should I be doing?

Hey Everyone,

I have fasted before, especially doing rolling 72s, and week long water fasts, but wanted to get back into it. I assumed 22-23 hour fasts along with OMAD and gym (1 hour treadmill, 15.0 incline, 3.8 speed) would be satisfactory, but seems maybe I lose 2-4 lbs. and then gain back 5 when I eat my meal.

I’m looking to drop down to 160ish by March, but seems like it’ll be impossible at this rate. What other steps should I take? I feel like with my gym & work, rolling 72s will be a pain.

Perhaps take a diet and exercise break? Just for a little, maybe a week then start fresh. It may help you calm your mind but also let your body adjust. It’s possible with all the exercising, your body is responding by inflammation

Is it possible you are at your normal body weight though? I don’t know much about physiology, but I think some people are naturally chubby and for them physically and psychologically its not healthy to lose weight

Our culture makes people think they should be super skinny. My view is just eat whole foods and no processed stuff or sugars, get enough exercise and sleep, and do fasting sometimes

With that eventually people go to their normal body weight, even if there is fat on them

But it seems like the extreme fasting you are doing is not burning fat and instead burning muscle and eating up bone tissue

I’d go to a doc and have your lean tissue mass scanned cuz you might be setting yourself up for osteoporosis later in life like this
