How do I adjust fasting times?

I’m likely overthinking this but my current eating window is from 12-7pm. If I want to have a late dinner, I would just shift my time to something like 1-8pm. But then my next day’s fast would be short unless I continue to on the 1-8 time frame. Just an example of times but I want to know how you all compensate.

Answer

I don’t. I just roll with it to suit my commitments to that day and if one day falls short, so be it!

I don’t recommend getting too obsessed with religiously making up your fasting hours etc and being that strict on yourself.

Answer

I completely agree with the previous answer… If it’s a one-time thing or if it only happens so often who cares if you eat a little bit later. No need to adjust your time. Fasting is a marathon not a sprint. And the nice part about fasting is you can adjust it to fit your lifestyle. There are times when I travel for a week or more at a time and fasting is not conducive every day. You just have to roll with it.

Answer

I often stop at 3:00 or 4:00 daily. If I have to eat late, say for a birthdat dinnercparty or something, & stop by 8:00P, I will postpone my next morning (usually 9:00A-3:00P) window, the next day until noon-3:00.Then resume at 9 the next day. I ate at ton, and finished late for me, 9:30P at quinceañera one Saturday night. Did 36 hour fast after that. Stopped Saturday @ 9:30P, nothing but water & green tea Sunday, then resumed 9:30 Monday morning.
