How long does it take to see results?

SW: 270 CW: 251 GW:130

I’ve been doing ADF, fasting M-W-F eating in a 4 hour window on Tues/Thur/Sat/Sun for the past three weeks with absolutely zero change in weight.

I was doing OMAD before which is how I lost 20 pounds, then everything just stopped. I decided to try ADF and three weeks in, still no budge.

I eat keto on my feeding days and make sure to eat between 1600-1800calories on days I eat.

What am I doing wrong? Does this just take time? If so how much? Any recommendations?

Answer

Sounds like you are doing the right thing, and doing really well too.

High initial IR (insulin resistance/fatty liver disease) , can sometimes mean it takes a bit of time to get the system working to a degree where fat loss can occur. One of the early episodes of The Fasting Method podcast was about this topic.

Do you try to avoid omega-6 oils, including olive oil?
(Some research has indicated that omega-6 plays a large role in causing IR.)

Do you drink black coffee?
Multiple reports (although only anecdotal/survey) have suggested that coffee perhaps helps against various liver issues, including IR. (Adding artificial sweeteners and especially plant based ‘milk’, would be detrimental though.)
