So today I posted about a herbal drink that I wanted to drink for my throat. I later on slept and wokeup and thought of drinking it a while back since everyone said to go ahead. So i’m almost 25 hours into my 48 hour fast and I checked the nutritional value of it and saw that it has 0.13g of sugars. :( How screwed up is my fast now? Should I just eat or can I still continue fasting?
0% screwed. Take a breath, think through what you’re asking about. It’s not a big deal. Just continue fasting.
Fasting isn’t a one-time thing. Some fasts will be better/more effective than others. If you’re doing it to lose weight, and you just continue on for your normal fast, you’re still going to have a great fast.
I fasted for a couple of years regularly and had a splash of cream in my coffee every morning. Guess what? Still lost 100 pounds.
You’ll be fine. Take it easy, be kinder to yourself.
I’m not sure this is sarcasm/meta or a real post at this point. Are you really considering that your fast is broken because of a teenth of a gram of sugar?
You had 0.13g of sugar. For reference, you basically had less than 0.6% of a snicker bars. Or 0.7% of an apple, or one third of a single grape. Would you consider your fast broken if you accidentely swallowed a small piece of grape stuck beteen your teeth?
