This is normal. We usually retain a lot of fluid and have some inflammation during our periods. Just keep at it! Continue your same routine, the period weight is not fat, it’s just your body doing its thing. It will drop off again. And most likely you’re still losing fat. Usually my lightest weight is 1-2 weeks after my period. As long as that weight continues to slowly decrease you are on the right track. Don’t stress about the period weight, it isn’t fat! There’s not much we can do about it, it’s a part of being a woman and it’s best to learn how to live with it.
If you lose it again, I’m not sure what the problem is, weight isn’t exactly a static number and fluctuation is definitely normal given its only a few pounds.
Edit: I hope you mean you’re in a deficit by eating 1600 kcal, not that you have a deficit of 1600 kcal
Unless you are actually trying to lose weight to qualify for something, you are probably really trying to lose fat. If that is the case, what you are gaining is not fat, so don’t worry about it. If it is just the number on the scale that you are worried about, might not be a good idea, but diuretics.
This is going to sound gross, but make sure you’re pooping. I always get extra backed up while I’m on my period- and I’m constantly constipated due to medication- you can store quite a bit of stool inside yourself and it can make a big difference in weight if you’re able to empty your bowelsAgain, I’m sorry for the awkward grossness of my reply.
