Some of my frustration in the past(non-fasting but calorie counting/exercise) has been that I lose about 1 lb a week and gain it all back during my period. Then I spend the next month doing the same thing.
I just started 16:8 and I’ve been losing about 1 lb per day, but I’m concerned that the same thing will happen when I start.
Has anyone had experience with this and if so, does the weight come back off pretty easily once it’s over?
yes, absolutely. that’s why I eat low carb (when I am eating), so that regardless of fasting I am still slowly and steadily losing weight. The fasts definitely give the weight loss a super boost, though!
This is super discouraging for me too. I’ve switched to measuring instead of the scale bc my weight can fluctuate like crazy. I also don’t measure a few days before my period or during it because I know I’ll just get upset
Happens to me, it’s annoying. I stay off the scale and don’t keep track of the weight changes during my 5 days. I can gain as much as 5lbs of weight on my period even with fasting, drops very quickly a day or two after.
