I found the sweetspot!

I’ve been using IF almost 2 years along with CICO and I’m down 85lbs.

Like most people I became a bit lax with my calories after the holidays but I’ve gotten strict again at the beginning of the month.

I also extended my IF from 16 to 18 hours and OMG. I’m now eating for the first time around 2pm and by the time I get that ‘I need something‘ stage of my day, it’s time for dinner!

I can also eat more for lunch since I’m not eating a snack between lunch and dinner.

It’s been a game changer, I’m very excited to see where this will take me!

I had a similar “aha!” moment when I first started IF! At first all I did was skip breakfast, then I pushed lunch back which meant less time and hunger for any snacks… even now with OMAD, I give myself an hour eating window which means a small appetizer at the start of the hour and finish dinner by the end OR dinner to break my fast and something sweet for dessert. It’s the most balanced I’ve ever felt when it comes to eating!

It’s definitely a lifestyle and not a diet! I eat what I want for the most part but am conscious of portions and calorie density. I like to eat things that are delicious and good for my body. I love cooking and trying out new recipes and do a ton from “scratch”. Most foods are pretty basic and quite simple to make yourself with added bonus of less of the “extra” stuff you don’t want or need. I do 1-7 or 2-7 depending on the day and I find it pretty normal as I’ve never been a breakfast eater to begin with. This schedule still gives me time to fit in my after dinner snacks. Which to be honest is my FAVE!!! Lol A little cup of nuts, Smartpop or a few chocolates really satisfy me and are a perfect ending to my eating day.
