So I haven’t updated for at least a year, but I think my last post had me down nearly 35 lbs.
I (45f) started IF in Aug 2020 and haven’t looked back! My SW was around 230 and now I’m down to 178, so that’s 50 lbs that I’ve said good bye to. I had tried so many other things for years, but IF was the key. (I also exercise 3 to 4 times a week and try to walk everyday).
I was in a size 20|22 jean and last week I bought a pair of size 14! The other day I was looking for a picture and came across a picture of me from July of 2020, there have been some changes. :).
A quick question, if you have made it this far: what do you say when people comment on your weight loss? I saw family for the first time in 3 years last fall and they politely commented, but I didn’t know how to respond. :)
Congratulations, that’s a great achievement!
When people compliment me I generally keep it short and sweet, something like, “thanks, it’s been fun leveling up my health and fitness.” Most people like to hear that it was intentional and safe, and understand the idea of exercising more than IF. If someone is asking for advice I include more info, but keep it low key and gauge their reaction before diving into a primer on fasting.
I’d just keep it short with a thanks and if they’re like have you been working out I’d just be like yeah you know how it is. My relatives tell me I’m crazy and that I’m starving myself and that I can’t eat anything, doing IF.
