i lost 5.5 pounds in 2 days, is that normal?

i’ve decided to try intermittent fasting because i have been having some digestive issues and i also want to lose weight and be more mindful of my diet.

i haven’t changed much about my slightly unhealthy diet i’ve just confined myself to eating between 1pm and 9pm and i’ve lowered my portions. still, i woke up today and weighed myself and i went from 175 two days ago to 169.5 today. kind of exciting but also a little worrying. is this normal???

Not a bad start at all. Keep going! The weight loss won’t continue to be 5lbs in a week but 2-3Lb loss per week is normal for a relatively decent amount of time until your body adapts.

Fasting, portion control and the quality of food/drink put into your system are all key factors to weight loss, digestion issues and more. For me, I got tired of waking up in the middle of the night with stomach acid in my mouth. It made me lose sleep, did damage to my throat and eventually teeth (if I had kept going) and my mood was terrible because of it. So I made the change, and after about a solid month of work/15LBs down, my acid reflux is completely gone.

Practice self discipline. Short term pain for long term gain. Your results will be glorious and you’ll feel like a bad ass.
