I need help and guidance

I am a 26 yr old, 5’10”, 225lb male. I have lost the motivation to keep on working towards weight loss. I tried OMAD for a good part of the year, but I ended up gaining weight because I was not consistent and disciplined enough. I am not looking at IF as a means of just weight loss, but as a lifestyle choice as well. But so far I have had no luck. I just want to see where I am going wrong and get out of this slump and start working towards a daily routine. All suggestions and criticisms are welcome. Thank you for your time!

If you want as a lifestyle choice start with 16 fast/8 eat. And eat whatever, but be consistent with the time restriction. My brother likes Noon to 8, I like 9-5.

A lifestyle change is something that fits you. OMAD is not something I’d like to do for any extended period.

Maybe start by cutting out snacking, brush your teeth after your last meal (just eat regularly in the day, but nothing after supper ever).

Then learn to skip either breakfast or supper, and take weekends off if you need but still nothing after supper.

Your body will adjust. If it’s not enough to lose weight, don’t eat on Wednesdays. It’s harder physically but easier on the schedule and lifestyle side to cut out one day of eating.
