If i keep the same calories that i had before IF will i get results?

I am currently at 20% body fat so i want to cut to become leaner. I am at a low carb diet and i just eat alot till i am full so i know i am geting alot of fat from dairy and red meat. Till today i never wanted to lift for astethics neither thinking about food grams since i was eating quality foods already, but now i cant fit in my clothes and thats a problem

If i start IF and eat the same amount of food in the 8-12 hour window will i get results or do i also need to reduce my food intake?

Answer

For weight loss, you’ll need to address the calories, plus your sleep and any chronic stress issues.

Your normal amount of calories got you overweight, and eating the same will keep you there.

So use a tdee calculator like https://tdeecalculator.net and aim to eat under your resting/maintenance number.

Someone made a post a little while back where they did this and they did lose a few pounds. Starting from an already fairly healthy weight. Try it if you want to. No guarantees you’ll get the same results though.
