I’d like to try a 24h fasting once per week for a while to lose weight, but I’m hesitating to go keto. From my previous experiences I’ve found keto to be very efficient for short term weight loss, but every time I try it I always end up cheating and giving up after 2 months. I have to say the pandemic made me realize how extreme the amount of disinformation is on social media / podcasts, so I’m not sure what to think about it anymore. The one thing that keto seemed to help at the time was being less hungry during fasts, but I wonder if that’s achievable with a more sustainable diet.
Before I got serious about fasting I tested out different keto recipes. I found what I liked and how good I can cook keto meals. Keto meals can be so good, with practice that is now the default way that my wife and I cook. Check out r/ketorecipes
