looking for some advice please!

Looking for some advice. I (29M) have been struggling with weight gain and loss for about 5 years since leaving college. I am interested in trying IM but I have a few conditions to my life that are making it hard for me to start. I’m looking for advice on a) if IM will even work for me or not b) what the best fast schedule will be.

My situation:

• I’m vegan, have been for 10 years. I eat relatively healthy, but definitely over eat • I work construction management. Leave my house at 530am and leave the office around 5pm most days. • I go to the gym 3 to 4 days a week after work. I lift a lot and do some cardio

The issue I have:

It’s hard for me to meet the typical 10am to 6pm eating window because when I go to gym after work I don’t get home to eat until 6pm at the absolute earliest, but usually 7pm or 730pm. And it’s also hard for me to wait until 10am to eat since I wake up so early.

I could try 12pm to 8pm eating window so i can eat after gym. But then I’m waiting even longer on the morning.

Help!? Any ideas/recommendations are welcome. Thank you!

Not eating, waiting to eat, that’s this whole gimmick. If you eat too much, too often, this is a way to restrict yourself.

So if you want to try, try. Fit it to your schedule. Waiting til noon is honestly pretty easy after a couple of months.

The vegan thing has no bearing. The world is currently awash with vegan options.

I work overnights so my eating schedule is different than most people. I wake up in the early afternoon and don’t eat until about 6-7pm with my family (their dinner my OMAD) then I go to work for 10pm and finish at 7am. Come home and go to sleep around 8:30am when I send the kids to school. I wake up around 2pm and get them from school and start over the next day. I work on my feet all night, and usually by 2-3am I’m pretty hungry but just have a green tea to get through.

Edit- oh the vegan part? I was vegan for YEARS and my one daughter is still vegan. You can eat plant based foods and still lose weight.
