lost 10 pounds but..

So I lost 10 pounds in like a week doing Omad, however waist measurement only went down by like a cm, am I doing something wrong? Been weight training to not lose muscle, should I just be patient? Anyone been there?

Answer

Aside from water weight - you lose fat from all over your body, including from around your internal organs on the inside, which translates less well to a smaller waistline but is obviously super good for your health! So you’re not doing anything wrong, it will just take more than a week to see measurements meaningfully reduce.

Be prepared that weight loss will not (generally) continue at a rate of 10lb per week, it will slow down. Be consistent, patient and allow for ups and downs on the scale. As long as you’re fasting for your window and eating at a healthy deficit, you will lose weight over time.

Answer

The problem is you’ve been doing it for a week. If you are worrying about results of a week you will likely burn yourself out. Go for forever, look at month to month, quarter to quarter results to decide if you should change how you are living. It’s possible to shift your weight up and down 10lbs without losing or gaining much fat due to different water and waste retention
