Lost 4 over the week but gained 2lbs over the weekend.

Gutted this morning been doing 20/4 fast all week eat lots of fruit and healthy meals and no alcohol in my 4 hour window , weighed myself this morning for my average weekly loss and the I have only lost 2lbs despite dropping more in the first 3 days so looks like I have yoyo’d all week ! A loss is a loss but feel I little gutted tbh !! Could this just be water retention?

2 lbs is absolutely nothing, it can be more stool in bowels, water retention, inflammation, whatever. Be sure to check the trend and more “long-termish” measurements. Weight always oscillates, it’s not linear.

I would recommend always weighing yourself first thing in the morning after relieving yourself. The weight will fluctuate throughout the day and collecting data in the most consistent way possible is important. Imagine weighing yourself and then drinking a pint of water, if you weigh youself again it will also that you just gained a pound. Imagine that throughout the day.

Also, bit dating related but I would stay away from the fruit, it at least eat it in moderation and stick to berries. Oranges and bananas are very calorically dense and the fructose significantly raises insulin and gets stored as far rapidly compared to slower metalizing foods. Simply eliminating all sugar and grains will dramatically improve your results if you are fasting for weight loss.
