Period and No weight loss

For the ladies out there - do you notice that you don’t lose weight when on your period? I started HIIT + IF + Keto 1.5 weeks ago, lost 2 # up front, got my period 4 days after, and nothing since. No gains, but definitely no losses. Feeling frustrated.

Not only do I not lose, I usually “gain” anywhere between 2 and 4 lbs right before it starts. As long as I don’t give in to every carb craving and thus eat over my deficit, I usually lose the weight in a quick rush right before my flow ends. I’m not usually all that vigilant about avoiding those salty carb snacks though.

I don’t lose for the week leading up to my period and often gain regardless because of water retention. So it’s like two weeks of each month where I freaking HATE the scale. I also have super wonky hormones so I’m sure I experience what a “typical” female body does times a million. I then experience a big whoosh one week and then a slower loss the next.

I’m pretty new here, just started IF at the end of December, and rapidly (& easily) lost about 13-14 lbs… Then my period came around and I’ve been pretty stuck this whole week. I’ve been taking pictures and measurements though, and I’m pretty sure I must be retaining water because I’m still losing inches. Trying not to focus on the scale, but it’s tough!

Yeah. I don’t even try on days leading up to and like my first or second day but then hop back on and I’m right back at it. Don’t like overindulge but if you want that piece of chocolate go for it. Don’t even weigh yourself!
