Quick question!

Do lemon drops (from the lemon fruit, no lemon juice) trigger insulin response during my fasting hours? I assuming those Lemon drops has a few amount of fructuosa. I like to squeeze some lemon juice in my herbal tea and drinking it during the fasting time, but now I wonder if I am doing wrong. All because it tasted sweet the other day I have been wondered since.

Answer

Basically you are going to blip the radar. The juice of a lemon has calories and is made of sugar, but a little lemon juice isn’t some great crime against fasting. Furthermore, early on, if it helps you not eat, it’s doing you a service.

If you continue to do it you’ll still probably see some results. Where those results start to stall, this is a place you can look to make a change later.
