I have been trying to do 16:8 on and off since New Year’s. I can hold on over weekends, but during the week days I try to wait until 12 to eat and I struggle to focus on anything but hunger. I have broken multiple times and it’s discouraging. Any tips or tricks to help with my discipline and get past the distracting Morning hunger?
Keto works for me, never really get get hungry. But a trick often used by people doing longer fasts is to drink some flavored sugar free water mixed with electrolytes like salt, magnesium and potassium. Kills the hunger.
Maybe 12 is still too late for you. Try 11am. Make sure that your meals are satisfactory in volume and are rich in protein, good fat, complex carbs and flbre. Eat to full satiety. Drink a lot of water, tea or coffee. Don’t forget about electrolytes.
