There is not really a one size fits all sort of answer to this. It just depends on your lifestyle and what works for you. The balance between making progress and making it fit into an ever changing life. Personally consistency as much as possible, being flexible when needed , then getting back to a consistent routine asap is what works best for me.
I personally have to vary. Most weekdays I’m 20:4 unless some mandatory networking situation comes up and I’ll modify to like a 16:8 if I can (1-2x per month). Weekends I’ll do 16:8 or I’ll drop fasting completely depending on what family activities we get into. I personally can pop in and out of fasting really easily but only you know your goals and self-discipline.
