Snack?

Hey there!

For 1,5 week I’m doing intermittent fasting. (16:8) Going to the gym 3 times a week, and eating at 12 and around 6.

Now I notice that I would like a snack in between my lunch & dinner. Is that ok? And what kind of snack would you recommend?

It depends on what you eat during your meals. You can do a miniature meal as your snack. The same but in smaller quantity. You can eat a small salad or a cup of soup. It would be good if you don’t eat something that spikes sugar in your blood. Don’t eat only fruit or a sandwich or granola bar or chocolate. Eat a balanced combination but much smaller than your regular meal.

I’m on a similar schedule and try to have 3 smaller meals in the day. 12pm, 3pm and 6pm. I just find it easier to stick to that way and still eating less than if I had breakfast. Stopping at 6pm has been my challenge though recently. Trying more protein and fats and less carbs and sugar. Good luck!
