Unsweetened Toothpaste?

Hi all! I (27M) have been doing OMAD and 18-6 for about 4 months now. Ive been pretty consistent with ‘clean’ fasting with water or black coffee primarily, until I eat in the afternoon.

I just now have been questioning the generic type of toothpaste I use, and I’m wondering if there’s a chance the sweet mint flavor is interfering with the ‘cleanness’ of my daily fast. This week I’ve tried brushing with water in the mornings and regular toothpaste at night, during my eating window. I feel like it’s a little different but can’t tell for sure. Have any of you run into this? Is there a good unsweetened toothpaste to use? Does it make a difference?

Ok, this is my favorite toothpaste ever, but you have to get used to it because it’s weird if you’ve only ever used regular toothpaste. Uncle Harry’s peppermint. Google it. It feels amazing and now I can’t use regular anymore; it tastes so sweet and my teeth don’t feel as clean at all. My gums are so much better too!

Most toothpaste has artificial sweeteners with no calories in it so it shouldn’t have any impact on your fast. That said, if you don’t like sweet toothpaste like me, check out “Tom’s of Maine” brand. They aren’t cheap, so I wait for sales and then load up on a half a dozen boxes at a time.
