This might not be the best tip but I do omad and i basically eat anything i want to eat. So far I have lost 10kg (~22lbs) in about 2 months. It might not be the fastest way but for me it’s the only way I can make it work. Dietary changes should always be sustainable and for me anything low carb, keto or to restrictive is just not it.
Edit: spelling
High fiber foods. Spinach omelet, raspberries, brocoli, whole grain bread, whole wheat pasta, pecans, chicken, fish, filet mignon, potatoes, whole foods ect. You do not have to do Keto to lose on IF. Eat two meals in 8 hours. No seconds and watch your portions. Lots of water. No snacking and walk, swim, dance. Just move more. Personally I don’t use a scale. After, 6 months of doing the above, (while also having many cheat days of burritos, burgers and french fries) I finally got on a scale and dropped 29lbs. Consistency is the key.
This might be an unpopular opinion but I don’t see intermittent fasting as a weight loss strategy. My two cents is that IF is for health and longevity. What works for me as far as weight loss goes is eating low carb, Unprocessed, low inflammatory foods. We’re all so different, that different things will work for different people. I am not from the calories in calories out to school of weight loss.
This is an eating pattern you stick with for life IMO so it’s got to be manageable.
Slowly eliminating all the stuff that caused problems in the first place. For me that means no sugar, caffeine or alcohol, no white flour (few carbs) or processed foods. Very limited fruit (mainly berries). Keto or a Mediterranean diet are good starting point.
