Working out at 6am

Been doing IF on and off for the last few months. I’m starting to work out in the morning rather than 5pm. I’m nervous that I’ll be starving at 9am. My sleep schedule will be approximately 10pm to 530am. Workout will be mostly weight training and some light cardio. Not high intensity to start.

Any suggestions here?

It takes some adjustment, but you do eventually get used to it. I work out around 6-7am and don’t break my fast until 12:00 at the earliest and often more like 3:00pm.

Just make sure the last meal the night before is nice and filling. Some on that food won’t even be fully digested yet, so might help to trick yourself out of feeling you have to eat right after a work out.

I often workout fasted and have gained performance in the last few months. I have quite a bit of fat to lose. My brother also IF and is in extremely good shape and also works out in a fasted state. He has not lost any performance. As an example of a workout: he completes 100 pull ups and 100 burpees in under 10 minutes. My point: just work out when you can and do your IF. Dont worry so much about the perfect setup as just getting your workout done is gonna get you results. Dont think so much and focus on the doing :)

My best results have been from working out at 5am and I’m doing OMAD and eating at around 5-6pm every night. At first I had some cravings but they subside after a few weeks of getting used to it. I’ve had more progress building muscle this way as well.
