21M 6’2 210 lbs. What more should I be doing?

Hello everyone! I’ve been doing 20/4 for the past two weeks and it’s been going pretty well so far! I’m not a huge foodie so I haven’t really gotten too many cravings so far.

When I was researching IF, I noticed there was a lot of conflicting information out there about what you can and can’t do to avoid gaining weight or messing with the diet. Right now I usually eat some grilled chicken breasts and rice as my main meal, a can of diet coke and a variety of snacks depending on the day ranging from a slice of cake to a few handfuls of nuts.

Is there anything specific I should be doing to maximize weight loss?

Any advice in general would be really helpful. Thanks!

Nice! You’re on the path of getting healthy. The only food that seemed healthy from what you listed is the chicken breast lol. I’d ditch everything else you mentioned.

Eat whole foods. ditch the rice & refined carbs and sweets—theyre all inducing high insulin.

You need to research a lot more to help you be better informed. Having an abundance of knowledge during IF will really keep you determined. Look for Dr Jason Fung, Eric Berg, & Sten Ekberg videos on youtube. This whole journey is as much mental as it is physical.
