4.5 KG loss in one month. IF+10K walking

Hello Guys, I’m 45 Years old male and I started IF (18/6) a month back and have lost 4.5 KG. throughout the month I’d only two meals. a snack for lunch and my normal meals for dinner. in between I would take a fruit and two teas with milk. I walked 10 K steps everyday.

Is my progress okay? I was expecting to lose at-least around 6KG, but that didn’t happen. please shed me some light.

This is an excellent progress. I use the same regimen as you, except I’m not snacking, I don’t have a cheat meals, don’t eat fruits and trying to do low-carb. I have pretty much the same pace, but it’s lower now because I’m close to normal BMI levels.

I have IF for around 2 months (currently 20:4), judging from my own record, I lost around 1kg per week. I am not so sure whether it’s water weight, but the overall body weight keeps dropping and I ain’t complaining.

I didn’t lose any weight for the first 3 weeks of 16:8. I exercise regularly- 3-4 days per week. 46 yo female, 5’8”, started at 167, current weight today is 154.8. I think our body goes into panic for a bit while trying to figure things out. Weight loss has been slow and steady for me since then, so in the past 3 months I have lost 12-14 pounds, depending on the day. I do weigh daily. For me, seeing the micro changes is helpful for me. When I see a swing of 2 lbs overnight I know most of it is water! If I were weighing weekly and hit that day when I weighed 2 lbs heavier I would feel defeated. Also, I listened to “The Obesity Code” by Jason Fung on Audible. It was super helpful. Stay the course, you will see results!
