48 hr fast-help me stay motivated

After a bad couple weeks of eating I’m now 22 hrs into a 48 hr fast. Staying hydrated, did a dirty fast with half n half in mid day coffee. The hardest few hrs will be those coming up as my husband decided to make a favorite meal. I’m planning to put my portion aside for tomorrow, but it may be challenging to do that. Just a vent, and hoping for inspiration.

You got it! I just finished my 48 hour fast and let me tell you, the Caesar salad that I ate to break fast tasted so much better after making it through.

When I feel like I might break during a long fast, I pull up pictures of myself from college and imagine what it would be like to be back in that shape. Gives me strength to see what my goal looks like.

When I’m having trouble shutting my window in the evening I retire to my bedroom and brush my teeth. I never eat in there so it puts me in a different mind set than hanging out near the kitchen!

Also, doing a light workout like sit-ups or a walk can help dull my appetite if I’m doing a long fast.

You’re speaking my language. I’m finishing up my 2nd week of OMAD and while I know it’s nowhere compared to the duration of a 48-hour fast, I find myself feeling hungry when I don’t take slow sips out of a 20oz container of plain water and refills until dinner.

Surprisingly, even though I’m still drinking coffee throughout the day, the water is the miracle and every sip gets me closer to my goal. That’s it! K-bye!
