Air Fryer Nutritional/Health Question(s)

Considering a purchase of an air fryer, however I am unable to find information online about the following health concerns/questions.

  1. Most websites compare air frying to deep frying and claim it’s healthier. I mostly saute my food - in comparison to sauteed food, which is “healthier”?
  2. Is air frying really any different than baking? If so, how?

Answer

  1. Air frying and sauté- depending on how much oil or what kind of oil you’re using, are comparable health-wise

  2. Air fryers are basically tiny convection ovens. They circulate air so that dishes cook more evenly, faster and with less oil needed. It’s not hugely different from baking. It’s just less tedious because instead of cleaning a large messy casserole dish, you have a small air fryer box. It doesn’t take as long to cook. And you can get an even crisp on food that doesn’t always happen in a traditional oven
