Alternative for sweets if you crave something sweet

Hello all!!

This is my first post here but I regularly comment, and I just wanted to share a snack I often reach for when I am craving something sweet or just to to fill me a bit til when I can eat a meal.

They’re called konjac jelly, they come in different flavors (my favorite being mango and peach) there’s different brands out there, I prefer the ones from Everydaze. Apparently those are vegan since all the jelly and the collagen in there are derived from plants. I think they’re 10 calories each, though I have seen some from other brands that are 4 or 5 calories.

I hope this suggestion helps someone who has trouble cutting out sugars.

I have something that hits that sweet spot. It sounds weird but it’s pretty good. I slice some cucumber then dip it in granulated monk fruit. It tastes somewhat like watermelon. Texture is similar too. Keto friendly too.

Konjac can cause major GI distress for some people, so when you try it for the first time, don’t eat too much until you know how your body will react to it. (It basically absorbs a ton of water to make you full but some people have trouble passing it through their systems)

Found out Coke Zero was the perfect sweet crave. But since it’s so bad for the health, only weekends or one or two during the week if I really need it but the point is self control so the less the better.
