Any advice on how to break a five day fast.

I’m currently on day three of my five day water fast. Want to make sure I refeed properly.

Start very slow with the refeed. Your stomach need to “wake up” again :D
You should do that at least 2-3 hours before eating a “Big” meal.

Or maybe you should even eat a “Big” meal on the next day. And have a small meal on a fast break day.

But I’m not a expert in this. I only know that you should start very very slow after a longer fast.

if i was you, i would avoid sugar/carbs for the next 4 or 5 days just because of how insulin sensitive you become. if you start to feel dizzy after eating them, thats when you know you arent yet ready to eat them. that goes for plain, unsweetened yogurt, so watch nutrition labels in this time.

After 120 hours of water fasting I ate a large meal at dinner. Steak, crab, fried rice…etc. I was fine. Had to poo a few times immediately afterwards(nothing really came out) but I didn’t have stomach ache or feel weird or anything. But then again I’m an iron stomach kind of guy and I never get sick or get headaches so maybe I’m an anomaly.

5 days probably isn’t much to worry about, but to be safe I usually start with broth and then follow that up a couple hours later with some beef stew. Depending on what time it is, that might be all I have the first day or I might follow it up with a normal sized meal. I eat like normal after the first day.
