I was 50lbs overweight and did 14 days and ended because I wanted to refeed before Thanksgiving. For two days I stayed locked in my room so I wouldn’t get tempted. Day 4 was my worst day. I did moderate exercise in the beginning but stopped because it made me queezy, I lost my hunger but was quite enamored with food porn (watched the cooking channel for like 3 days), no BM got really uncomfortable and had to do something about it and got ill (maybe keto flu) for a couple days. Sometimes I had to shower and brush my teeth several times throughout the day. Although I was still flu-ish, day 5+ was fine except insomnia and getting light-headed from getting up too fast. It was like being in slow motion (I’m usually in a hurry for no reason) for the second week and the smell of food was nauseating.
In the end I lost 30lbs and gained 10 after refeed. My skin, allergy and menstrual problems cleared up for a whole year. On the downside, I did eventually become anemic from iron deficiency, I don’t know if it’s related but maybe.
I did a 28 day followed by two days of broth, it was rough at times but I am so glad I did it! I want to do another. I dropped almost 30 lbs, my skin looked so much more clear, people didn’t recognize me because of the quick weight loss.
Before the end of the year I would love to do another 14 day fast. Half of what I did but still a good chunk of time!
