been nailing the 24hr fast recently and now i'm wonder what lays ahead?

so my body has adjusted to fasting for 24hrs and it’s been wonderful! but i want to push on. however, i get anxious as i am about to start my second 24hr period. is it more difficult than the first? does the body reach a sweet spot for weight loss?

A lot of people find it harder and harder as you get to the 72 hour mark and then it gets easier. Depends on your body though! Best thing is to try adding more and more time, try 12 hours more at a time and don’t guilt yourself if you eat after 36 hours, there is always next fast!

I’m in the same boat. I’ve just reached a point where I can hit 24 hours pretty easily. I’ll fast for 24 hours, and at the tail end of the 24th hour I’ll be making my one big keto meal. Eat and immediately jump into another 24. My 24 hour fast ends at 11p MT tonight and I’m thinking of going to bed and seeing how I feel in the morning instead of eating tonight. Im not sure how I’ll feel tomorrow so I’m considering trying it out

I would work do 36 hour fasts before 48 hours.

Get used to those. 36 hour fasts are great (I actually do 40 hour ones because i exercise and I want to eat after that)

If you can do 36 hours ones you can do alternate day fasting for weeks and that gets results.

Personally, I don’t try to maximize fasting, though I done it a fair amount. My goal is to balance benefits with sustainability.

Dr. Fung says that most men can have great results with 24 hour fast, while women tend to need to fast a little longer to get the same benefits.

He also suggests treating it like a muscle. Building it over time. If you’re nailing 24 hr fasts maybe try 36-42 hour fasts 3 times a week.

I’m doing two 36’s and one 42.
