Benefits of refeeding vs. low carb/keto on non-fasting days?

I see people often discussing one strategy or the other, but haven’t been able to find much info about the benefits or fallbacks for each. How do you decide which method to use? Is this primarily a way to maintain longer fasts (eating “normally” on refeed days) or are there other benefits to refeeding vs maintaining a low carb diet on non-fasting days?

Answer

Refeeds are for resetting certain hormones (namely, leptin) after periods of restricting carbs.
