Hi! My cognitive abilities wane when Im hungry, does anyone have experience or advice about this? Thank you
I used to eat white toast and jam for breakfast, then regular balanced meals for lunch and dinner. I had good sleep. I had classes in the morning at 9am-12:15pm. I would always find I was struggling to stay awake and had to fight to concentrate (the classes were very interesting so it wasn’t that!). I stopped eating breakfast for religious reasons, meaning it also cut out the majority of the carbs I was consuming. After a week it occurred to me I wasn’t getting tired in class, and in fact my concentration was at its peak when I was fasting. Have pretty much stopped eating breakfast (occasional treats excepted) since then.
Hunger comes and goes in waves during normal eating windows. Just ride it out. I tend to find I experience less hunger when my meals are higher in fat and proteins and lower in carbohydrates.
