Getting through brain fog

Experimenting with fasting again. One of my biggest problems is a serious brain fog that sets in around the 14-16 hour mark. Sometimes it interferes with my work. When it sets in, it feels like I’m trying to work on zero hours of sleep. If I eat something, all goes back to normal.

It’s not a big deal right now because I’m stopping at 16 hours, but eventually I want to get to multi-day fasts, and thus far it’s hard to imagine pushing through to the end of a day in that state. What does everyone recommend? Thanks!

What do you eat normally? If you’re eating a diet high in carbs and sugar, it’s worth it to switch to keto/low carb (as low as possible) for a couple of weeks at least, before adding IF (and eventually longer fasts).

I personally feel rotten when I have lots of carbs (AKA regular American diet, or other high carb, high sugar diets), to the point I can’t make it past 16hrs, let alone 24. You can always reintroduce carbs gradually later on! (carefully, of course)
