hi, i’m on my 60th hour of a seven day fast. yesterday, to fight the cravings, i had quite a lot of broth (about 2l), which added up to 100 calories and 6g of carbs, according to the nutritional info.
now i’m wondering: did that break my fast? i always considered broth to be a pretty safe choice but now i’m unsure about it. i also rode my bike to work as i do every day, burning around 120 cals, but i’m not sure that changes anything.
Don’t beat yourself up. Technically, it might have put a little dent in your fast, but it worked: you were able to overcome your cravings in a pretty healthy, low-calorie way. Enjoy the rest of your fast and stop worrying.
