Calories consumed per day seems under

Hi guys, I wanted to get some feedback. I do 18:6 and only eat twice a day (dirty fasting during my window with coffee & milk). I use MyFitnessPal and my total is about 800-900 calories a day while hitting my macros. I’m not sure why it’s so low since I eat different things such as cheese, protein, and LOTS of veggies during meals. I weigh my food to make sure I’m eating enough. I’m usually very full after each meal and was surprised to see the calorie total as it feels like much more. I don’t eat carbs much - only whole grain toast for lunch once in a while.

I also lift 4 times a week and I feel energized when I’m working out. I know I should be eating ~1200 calories a day and I don’t want to burn out. I was on a terrible diet before where I was eating ~1100-1200 calories a day and felt horrible and hungry 24/7.

Anyone else experience this? Is the app wrong?

Answer

No the app isn’t wrong most likely.

Obviously veggies are really low calorie for the volume, and it’s you’re just eating veggies and protein with a little cheese then you’re not going to be eating much.
