Coming up on day 6 of my 31 day water fast

What should I expect next, everyone? I’ve felt the hunger start subsiding, but I’m getting a little bored of no food.

Will I be completely not hungry soon? What should I expect?

Weirdly, I’m not having headaches. It’s strangely easy, just boring.

Oh, also I take metformin for my PCOS, should I not take that during this period?

This is my first fast, btw! I’ve been doing OMAD for nearly a year before this.

Thanks all!

Hey! I’m doing an extended water fast as well to hopefully improve (reverse?) my PCOS symptoms. I don’t take metformin but I am taking natural progesterone cream to keep my hormones/blood sugar stable, I won’t be taking it all throughout though, hopefully stop after my insulin resistance improves some at least. The boredom is definitely the biggest thing at the moment but for me it’s better than the hypoglycemia I usually get that ends up making me have to stop the fast. I don’t know about completely but the hunger should subside yes. Just try & keep busy for the boredom, that’s what I’m doing. Wishing you the best!

ETA: Oh yeah, it being your first fast, please please listen to your body, if you ever feel really unwell please don’t push yourself. Also I hope you read up on refeeding syndrome, for an extended fast such as what you’re planning it’s very important to be careful when you break the fast, break it very slowly, with foods that are easy on the digestive system & don’t consume something high sugar/carb immediately or it’ll cause a huge insulin spike. It can be very dangerous. Just saying just in case, maybe you already know all this.
