First time a fast has done nothing :c

Well lads my refeed is in an hour, that’s the 60hr mark, sad to say from the starting weight (when I had matter in my gut) of 60.5 I’ve only gone down to 60. well within normal water weight fluctuations off fast. not sure if more will come off as my metabolism kicks in but I think my lack of bodyfat (sitting around 10-12 percent rn) meant all that could happen was my metabolism tanking.

Still managed to drag myself to the gym both days of the fast and my IBS is settled down from the lack of food, but this one feels very anti climatic rn.

Depending on how much you’re trying to lose I’m sure this was relatively frustrating. At the same time, I really don’t think you should assess your results right now. Have some food, keep drinking water of course, and see what tomorrow brings.

I spent three months carefully tracking almost everything possible: of course the food I eat and the calories expended based on Fitbit, when I drink alcohol, tracking and graphing carbohydrate intake, you name it… And there was simply no way to correlate weeks of high weight loss versus weeks of moderate or zero weight loss with anything!

Rather than go crazy with it, I came to the conclusion that obviously fasting works over the long term. Calorie restriction… More on this later… Is a great component of a fasting program. So as exercise, not eating too many carbs, not drinking alcohol so much. All common sense stuff, and all stuff that I do. But again, weight loss doesn’t happen in a linear fashion. I bet you’re going to see results soon!.

Incidentally, when I say calorie restriction? Trust me when I tell you I’m not suffering! My use of the term means “I don’t go crazy and eat a huge amount of food every day“. I just try to keep an eye on the overall numbers and trend.
