Greetings! I started a fast about 64 hours ago. I’ve never fasted before (other than every day I wait to eat until 3). First day was rough. Second day was great until the evening. Today is pretty easy so far.
I’m wondering whether there’s any reason I should stop at three days or just keep going? I’m trying to give my intestines a break as I have IBS/Leaky Gut. Should I start taking anything other than water at this point? I should mention I’m a 50 year old male, have been eating carnivore for about 3 weeks so I was already in Ketosis when I started, and I’m about 90 pounds overweight.
My take on it is that the real good stuff happens after Day 3. For me anyway, I have earned the benefits and it’s clear sailing until I decide to stop. I’m on Day 4 now, and can’t wait for Day 5, which always seems pretty blissed out.
