Getting started to lose weight, advice is welcome!

Hey there, female here 25, 5’7. Current weight: 176lbs, goal weight: 143lbs. I would like to lose the first 20 pounds as soon as possible to be honest (I have a beach trip scheduled for thanksgiving)

Looking to do 18:6, jumping rope 20 min 3 times a week at least (cardio), but here’s he trick: I’ve lost massive amounts of weight fast on keto, but honestly I miss just one carb: quinoa. I plan on having my food be essentially protein, healthy fat, vegetables and quinoa. Do you think this could work?

Any advice from other fellow people that are more experienced than me and have some progress already would be awesome, does it sound like a good plan? Should I count calories if my meals are relatively small?

I’ve been doing mostly 16:8 (with a little 10:14 and 12:12) since February. I don’t eat breakfast, and my feeding window is usually from 11am/12pm - 8pm/9pm. I also religiously walk 1-2 miles per night at least 5x a week. I’ve lost about 48 lbs just this year alone.

I don’t do any any special diet outside of limiting sodium and eating a lot more fruits and veggies. I mainly practice portion control. I don’t count calories. I don’t food journal. I don’t do any of that stuff. I just choose foods that I know are healthy like fish, grilled chicken, and vegetables. But I also make sure to allow myself to occasionally eat “bad” food like ice cream, pizza, etc. so I don’t get burnt out.

The main piece of advice I would give is to be consistent. Consistently stick to IF, consistently exercise. The results will come. Don’t treat this like a “diet”…treat it as a whole new lifestyle.
