Have questions - Starting IF today

Hello all.

So I plan to start today(4-6pm) but have many questions. Please help?

Plan - I plan to eat a large dinner followed by oatmeal each day between 4-6 - is that Ok?

Macros - Just say my dinner only gives around 100g protein and I need a minimum of 170g protein, would 70g protein powder after dinner be ok or bad in any way? I can add powder to Oatmeal as it tastes nicer.

Drinks - Can I drink Pepsi Max or flavoured water whilst fasting? What about Sparkling Water(like Pellegrino)?

Hunger - What do you do to stop hunger pangs until eating time?

If you’re new to fasting it may be easier to ease into it. I started with a 14 hour fast, then 16 hours since. I don’t feel ready for a longer fast just yet, but plan on it down the road.

There are quite a few approaches, but look into the benefits of zero calories and no sweeteners during your fasting window, just water and maybe tea. Sparkling water is fine.

Depending on your eating habits so far, you could skip counting calories for a while and just get the hang of it with fasting and nutritious meals. Restricting yourself too much could backfire. Good luck!
