How long should i make my first extended fasting?

My first one I was going for 48 and just felt good so extended it to 67 and only stopped because of a prior lunch engagement. This time I planned for 72 and am on hour 90 right now. I’m going to break my fast This afternoon though. After the first 36, if your electrolytes are good it’s not that hard. Let your body tell you.

2 days is an ok intro. Just remember sensations go in waves; sometimes you just need to breathe through the rough ones for a few minutes. The negativity is transitory and WILL pass fairly quickly. Your body knows fasting is healthy and resets to happy and feeling good after a short time.

Also know that fasts over 3 days get easier. So don’t judge all fasting based on the anguish periods of a short one.

I’m nearing the end of a 48hr (which will be more like 46hr) but I’ve been unconsciously intermittent fasting pretty much since I can remember naturally. And I once went 4 days without eating in the past so I know I could handle it. Try 24-48 hours first and see how tou go
