IF food craving solution

I’m doing 16:8 9am-5pm, and normally not eating at night doesn’t bother me. Today I stopped eating 90 minutes early and went to the gym, and around 9pm I was craving a certain food.

So guess what I did…I cooked it, and the smell is soooo good right now in my kitchen! But what’s better is I’m going to pack it up, put it away, and eat it tomorrow. For now, smelling is reward enough. Anyone else do this?

Well, yeah I tried it it was kinda hard suppressing my hunger when I was craving food but I just made sure to drink plenty of water to compensate for it. It worked pretty well for me and it tasted even more better when I finally ate it.

Also, I hope you don’t mind but I’m seeking an advice right now and I really appreciate it if you help me (unfortunately I can’t post in this sub because I haven’t met the required karma yet).

I plan to do a 24 hour fast regularly. I’ve already tried IF before, and the longest I’ve ever fasted was 36 hours, but I want to switch to 24 hours fast. I just wanna ask for an advice and please tell me if this will affect my weight loss. So my tdee (sedementary) is 1,458 calories a day. I multiplied it to two = 2,916 and subtracted 1,200 from it = 1,716, which means that 1,716 kcal is what I aim for my calorie intake during my eating window hours. Does this mean that in two days I will be able to cut 1,200 kcal? And will this aid me in my weight loss?

I would totally appreciate your help and comments so please help me! Thank you.

Answer

If cravings hit me say 2hrs too early, I sometimes go shopping or start prepping parts of the meal in advance.

I also use a high mineral low calorie drink (e.g. bone broth) strategically at around 42hr mark, to avoid having hunger pangs during the last 6 hrs of fasting window.
