Jumping back on the wagon

Just wanted to say hi. I’ve been lurking for a while. I’m female 5’6 tall and 167lbs. The heaviest I’ve been in over 10 years (not counting when I was pregnant.

I’ve been gaining weight fast for the last 6 months. I have a thyroid problem (don’t have one) but it’s well taken care of and I know it’s really just bad choices.

I’ve had good experiences with fasting before. Just haven’t been able to stick to it for the past months. Feel like I’ve started over a thousand times.

I’ve been sticking to 18:6 now for two days and finally feel like I might hold this time.

Fingers crossed

Answer

Welcome aboard! My starting stats are the exact same as yours - I started really watching my intake sometime in Fall ‘20, then began IF in late Feb ‘21 (always at least 16/8, often 17/7, occasional 18/6, no extended fasts whatsoever). I’m down to about 148 currently - still want to reach GW of 135! Admittedly I dirty fast, and don’t deny myself within my eating window - and I do hit the gym about 3x/week. My losses are slow, but still happening!
