Hi all, new to IF. I’ve been looking at different fasting methods and I quite like the idea of 5:2, and I’m wondering if it’s OK to not eat at all on those 2 days?
My plan is to eat as normal most days and then completely fast on a Tuesday and Thursday, not eating anything. Is this OK to do? I’ve seen some 5:2 diets mentioning having low calorie days on the 2 fasting days.
I think I’ll be completely fine not eating anything on those 2 days as I work from home in the week and basically sit at a desk for 8 hours.
Yes it’s ok to do unless you have a health condition. Please make sure to take multivitamins and research a 0 calorie way of getting electrolytes (I do a pill.) Above all, when u are eating, for best results eat clean natural non-proceeded foods like meat veggies fruit and dairy and don’t go above your calorie intake for maintenance. Honestly, I don’t think you will get the best results with this method. Look into OMAD. That’s how people most effectively lose weight with fasting in only weeks.
