Is one big meal every other day sustainable? If anyones tried this I’d love to hear your experience/ results.
Sure is. I did OMAD (one meal a day) in my first month of fasting then soon plateaued. That’s when I started incorporating longer fasts between my OMADs to lose the last 2kg. Am on my third month now and I feel the best I’ve felt in years.
Been doing this for the last month. Down 20lbs so far. I love it because I literally can enjoy anything I want. And it’s not necessarily one meal. I eat a variety of food in a 2-4 hour span. So far I love it. I did OMAD for a little over 3 years which is definitely sustainable. I think once I get to my goal weight the every other day would be more occasional and not consistent but so far it’s definitely doing wonders for me.
I’m doing a 2-4 hour eating period every third day. Essentially rolling 68s. I eat a small meal a couple of hours before dinner with my family. Today my small meal was a big bowl of greens with dressing and shredded parmigiano, a moderate amount of leftover taco meat and beans and an apple. I’ll have a restaurant meal in another hour or two, but won’t have room for dessert.
I’ve been doing this since late January, or 7 fasts. It’s still challenging, but rewarding. I plan to return to OMAD in the next month or two, as this isn’t a long-term pace that I want to sustain.
Did this for about a month, absolutely shredded weight off. Lost like 6-7kg. If weightloss is your goal its extremely effective and mentally alot easier knowing you always have food coming the next day. If you’re not tryin to lose weight i wouldn’t recommend it.
I’m digging alternate day fasting which is eating a full day every other day. I usually have two meals though and I’m full.
If youre just starting out I’d say try something easier for a little while but if you’ve got some experience why not, it’ll be q wuick way to lose weight if you just eat a normal meal
