Question about added sugars

Hi, folks.

I had a quick question about added sugars. If I’m looking at a nutrition label with 11 servings, would the total sugars 15g (with 15g added sugars), be calculated by multiplying 15g by 15? Or would 15g be the total amount of added sugars in the package?

I was a bit confused on whether the 15g added sugars was the total package, or if it’s per serving. Thanks in advance, and apologies if it’s a silly question.

Answer

If total sugars is 15g and added sugars is 15g, that means all 15g of sugar in 1 serving is added sugar. So the total amount of added sugar in the package is 165g (you get that from 15g * 11), and 165g is also the total amount of sugar in general in the package.

Answer

On anything you buy the calories are per serving juices are normally 6ounces. Big muffins can be 2 or 3servings I don’t know anyone who cuts them into pieces they eat the whole thing. I have been shopping the outside aisles of the store for awhile. Fresh produce meats and single meal item’s are around the outside of the store. I quit eating bread and I realized it’s not just the bread it’s all the stuff I put on it. I had some health issues a few years ago and I gained 60 pounds. I have been in so much pain that I have not been moving around like I should. I am now in the process of loosing my weight. It’s good that you are thinking about what you eat
