Question for more experienced fasters.

So to start, I began my fasting journey about 1 year ago and since then have gotten to my target weight. I’m 5”9’ and am about 155 pounds. My doctor told me 150 should be the lowest I go so I’ve maintained my weight between 150 and 155. My problem is I still have a lot of fat/loss skin all around my body, specifically my gut. I still have love handles and very noticeable gut. Do I lose more weight or just accept it? I originally lost the weight to look better but It seems pointless if I’m still going to look fat. Any advice or things I should try?

Answer

When someone is in the healthy weight range but still unhappy with the aesthetics of the their body that usually means they are lacking muscle. Putting on some muscle can help to shape the body, tighten and hold things where they should be, fill in fat losses, raise the metabolism to help burn off a bit more body fat percentage, etc.

I would recommend going into a slightly surplus, hitting daily protein goals, and find a strength routine you enjoy.
